Position Summary

To provide support in test and exam administration in the Bishop State Testing Center and Learning Assistance Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of how to operate basic computer functions such as word processing applications, digital calendars for scheduling, and email systems.
  • Ability to obtain certifications needed for proctoring specific exams as supported by the College.
  • Effective use of office equipment such as computers, fax machines, scanners, copy machines, or other office equipment.
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system.
  • Skilled in providing effective customer service.
  • Thoroughly review and adhere to all testing vendor procedure manuals.
  • Register and accommodate examinees.
  • Clearly communicate applicable testing procedures to examinees.
  • Ensure compliance with all testing vendor security and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Document and notify Learning Assistance Center/Peer Tutor Coordinator of any irregularities or non-compliance of examinees.
  • Properly maintain and return examination materials when due.
  • Follow and emphasize policies pertaining to cheating or ethical violations related to the testing environment.
  • Properly distribute and collect examination materials.
  • Provide testing reports as required by the Learning Assistance Center/Peer Tutor Coordinator or vendor.
  • Inventory the examination materials and follow all processes related to shipping and return of materials.
  • Accommodate standby testing with approval by the Learning Assistance Center/Peer Tutor Coordinator.
  • Perform tasks that assist the Division to achieve its mission and to external Departments that may need testing support, upon approval of the Learning Assistance Center/Peer Tutor Coordinator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Learning Assistance Center/Peer Tutor Coordinator, Dean of Instruction, and/or President.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of full-time clerical work experience.

Salary: ACCS Salary Schedule – E5-06 ($28,271 - $45,419)

The Selection Committee will screen all applicants for the position. The Committee will select applicants for in-person interviews which may consist of question/answer session and /or skills assessments. Applicants must adhere to the Colleges prescribed interview schedule and must travel at their own expense.
