About Bunker Hill Community College:

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. The largest of the 15 community colleges in Massachusetts, BHCC serves some 18,000 students annually, focusing on holistic student services to ensure student retention and persistence. The College offers certificates and associate degrees, early college and dual enrollment, non-credit community and corporate training, and industry-specific training programs. Job Description:

The Accountant III position primarily supports accounting functions and provides administrative support as needed across the Workforce and Economic development division, inclusive of the following areas: Workforce & Economic Development, Community Education, Adult Education and Language Institute. This position will perform complex accounting duties, prepare and submit financial reports and invoices, monitor accounts receivable, process payments, and deliver training to others. They will collaborate with campus representatives to monitor, interpret, analyze, and reconcile financial data for sponsored/grant funded programs. This position, alongside the department's Business Analyst, interacts directly with project sponsors and subrecipients related to financial reporting, invoicing, payments, and auditing on behalf of the university to ensure compliance.  Daily use of multiple CRM platforms and technology in the department, specifically Ellucian Elevate, Colleague and Target X.

Responsibilities:


Requirements:

  • Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional experience in accounting or auditing
  • Experience using student information systems, preferred Ellucian Colleague, Elevate, Target X, Salesforce and Budget Pak
  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve
  • Ability to work Independently, decision-making and keen attention to detail
  • Customer service orientation and work collaboratively among unique groups
  • Excellent project management, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population


Additional Information:

Salary: Grade 18 $2,132.21 Bi-weekly; Annual Salary: $55,437.46
