About Bunker Hill Community College:

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. The largest of the 15 community colleges in Massachusetts, BHCC serves some 18,000 students annually, focusing on holistic student services to ensure student retention and persistence. The College offers certificates and associate degrees, early college and dual enrollment, non-credit community and corporate training, and industry-specific training programs. BHCC is the 8th most diverse higher education institution in the United States, and is an Asian American and Pacific Islander Serving Institution. Bunker Hill is also a Hispanic Service Institution, defined as an institution that has an enrollment of undergrad full-time equivalent students that is at least 25 percent Hispanic students. Approximately 1000 international students attend from 100 countries, speaking more than 75 languages.


Job Description:

  • Teach course according to schedule and under the terms outlined in contract;
  • Using the PMP curriculum created by Certwise, prepare lessons by identifying, developing, and implementing materials that prepares professionals for the PMP exam.
  • Translate course objectives, student learning outcomes, and course materials into learning activities that promotes learning;
  • Commit to studying the Certwise physical and online materials regularly to maintain relevance and efficacy, and work with Certwise to get updates on exam dates and updates;
  • Perform administrative tasks such as taking attendance, communicating with students as needed, and promoting persistence in their studies using both the physical books and online resources.
  • Help students identify and set personal goals, and work with students to ensure that they are making sufficient progress toward readiness to take the PMP exam;
  • Guide students in navigating online learning resources as established by Certwise;
  • Be available for meetings with students over the phone or email;
  • Have students complete course evaluations, and use feedback from evaluations to improve instructive practice;
  • Implement research findings and educational best practices in the classroom;
  • Ability to teach Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification course to entry-level project managers.

Skills, Competencies, and Experience:


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree 
  • PMP certified to teach both PMP and CAPM Certification
  • CAPM Certified to teach only CAPM certification course


Additional Information:

Salary: $35.00 per hour, 3 hours per week for 12 weeks; for a total of 36 hours. (non-benefited)
