Job Description
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, NV is seeking an innovative Coordinator to be responsible for the recruitment and retention of students for the Educational Partnership Programs. **This position is contingent upon funding. The goal of this position is to assist special populations outlined in by the grants and other sources that fund the programs in attaining the education and work readiness skills needed to prepare them for gaining employment. The current programs are the Prison Education Program, Displaced Homemakers Program, Perkins Educational Partnership Program and SNAP E&T Program. This position will assist in the implementation, recruitment and retention of the students in the grant programs and special projects as assigned by the Program Director.
 
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelors Degree and 1 year of related experience; or Associates degree plus 3 years of related experience; or 5 years of related experience.
2. Experience in preparing and monitoring budgets.
 
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in psychology, human development, social work, education or a related field.
2. Experience in an educational or human services environment.
3. Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
 
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds.
1. Provide administrative support and coordination for the Educational Partnerships Program (EPP).
2. Facilitate grant and program updates and reporting.
3. Maintain knowledge on the Nevada Prison Education Program, Displaced Homemakers Program, Perkins Educational Partnerships and SNAP E&T Program.
4. Coordinate the SNAPE&T program and tracking for the College.
5. Coordinate and facilitate retention strategies and student resources.
6. Maintain and update the student resources webpage.
7. Participate in the Student Resource Committee and Student Emergency Fund process.
8. Meet one on one with student participants during their academic semester to provide support.
9. Coordinate and collect annual assessment data.
10. Maintain and update the EPP webpage.
11. Supervise student employees as needed.
12. Other duties as assigned.
 
Salary and Benefits Information:
 
Salary: $48,688 - $60,860 initial salary placement will be dependent on education level and years of experience.
