Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginias capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Office of Human Resources is seeking a part-time Office Assistant to provide office support functions. Duties include general office support activities (office receptionist, file creation and retention, picking up, opening and distributing mail, copying, filing, etc.).

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.


KSA's/Required Qualifications
Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and office equipment. Working knowledge of manual and automated filing systems; and telephone/receptionist practices. Demonstrated skill in data entry. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer with current software versions of Word and Excel. Ability to learn web-based software for label making. Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow oral and written procedures; to prioritize assignments; and work independently. Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to a diverse population.

Additional Considerations
Some administrative support experience in a busy office environment. Current or previous experience in a customer-focused environment.
