JOB DUTIES


  • Develop and implement strategies to reengage and support individuals who have started but have not completed their degree at MCCC.
  • Primary contact for students seeking resources and advisement to re-enroll in school, helping them regain momentum to graduate in their chosen major.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and events aimed at motivating and supporting participants throughout their educational journey.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of educational resources, scholarships, and support services available to reengaging participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant interactions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to measure the effectiveness and impact of reengagement efforts.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Some College, No Degree Initiative by suggesting improvements based on participant feedback and industry best practices.
  • Identify and reach out to individuals who have some college credits but have not obtained a degree through various outreach channels.
  • Build relationships with participants and assess their educational goals, challenges, and motivations for reengagement.
  • Assist with grant research writing and submission
  • Other duties as assigned.

Please note this position is grant funded and continued employment is subject to grant renewal.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Positions in this class typically require: ability to use a key board, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

 

 

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of their unique needs.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
  • Previous experience in educational counseling, advising, or student support services.
  • Strong understanding of higher education systems, academic requirements, and credit transfer processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to treat people with respect; works with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational values.
