As a Lead Web Developer on the Marketing team, you'll be an integral part of building the very first interactions our clinicians have with the Aya Healthcare family of brands. This role requires not only rock solid development skills but also the ability and desire to work within a friendly, but very fast-paced team that continues to reinvent and lead the healthcare staffing market. A typical week will include development work, interacting with internal stakeholders to define requirements, prioritizing tasks, and helping manage projects for our small team of marketing developers. We move fast and adapt to market changes quickly!

Responsibilities:

  • You will report to the Associate Director of Marketing Web Development
  • Communicate with and serve as a technical point of contact for stakeholders to gather requirements for marketing objectives
  • Manage project priorities and ensure developers have a clear understanding of how to execute their tasks
  • Build world class experiences for our clinicians with WordPress keeping usability and accessibility in mind
  • Lead development for React-based work including transitioning sites to a decoupled infrastructure (headless CMS)
  • Leverage in-house APIs to build dynamic, interactive pages
  • Build, iterate, and maintain interactive web pages, editable/templatized marketing landing pages, and unique user experiences
  • Work with Marketing UI/UX designers to translate designs into pixel perfect code
  • Work with IT as a contact for Marketing-driven projects
  • Work with project managers to estimate hours to complete tasks
  • Be the expert on viability and approach to web projects
  • Participate in daily dev standups and help other developers with any blockers
  • Communicate any technical limitations a design file may have and closely communicate with the design team

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks throughout the week
  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot existing codebases, optimize code, and solve unusual problems based on company needs
  • Excellent ability to work with stakeholders and vendors - understanding stakeholder needs, thoroughly researching how to implement vendor integrations, and being the owner of these projects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills - the team relies on the developers to figure out solutions to complicated problems involving multiple technical touchpoints
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to respond quickly to emails, chats, and calls
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively deal with a certain degree of autonomy
  • Expert level semantic HTML experience
  • Expert level CSS experience (we use Sass)
  • Expert level responsive web design experience
  • Expert level jQuery, vanilla JS, and ES6
  • Experience with React and converting large WordPress sites to a headless CMS coupled with React
  • Intermediate level experience building and maintaining custom WordPress themes
  • Intermediate level PHP knowledge
  • Understanding of HTML impacts on SEO (headings, DOM structure, etc.)
  • Experience with cross browser testing (we use Browserstack as well as live devices to test web and Hubspot/Litmus to test emails)
  • Experience with Git (we use Github) and comfortable working in the CLI
  • Experience translating designs from Figma, Sketch, Creative Cloud, and sometimes even PDF mockups
  • Experience working within multiple project management tools (ClickUp, Jira, Trello, etc)

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be an annual salary of $150,000 to $170,000.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager's discretion.
