Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  
 Bachelors degree required from an accredited institution.
 
EXPERIENCE MINIMUM:  
Previous experience in workforce development programs and/or student outreach or advising.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 Recruit new students for Continuing Education programs in accordance with the mission, goals, and policies of the College. Plan, coordinate, organize and provide a variety of student outreach events to share information on short-term programs. Primary duties and responsibilities include promotion of college educational opportunities at venues frequented by the target market and provide assistance and advice to prospective students regarding the application procedure, programs requirements, deadlines and programs. Coordination and implementation of college recruiting initiatives, and hosting career fairs related to transition into the workforce and/or college. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President for Workforce Development.
 
DUTIES/ ESSENTIAL SKILLS:  
 Contact and meet high school personnel (principals, counselors, teachers, etc.) to explain CCP benefits of the program.
Participate in classroom visitation and other special events to explain program to potential students.
Provide information regarding admission requirements and program benefits to prospective students and parents via phone, mail, and personal visits; follow up with a phone call or a letter.
Assist new students with the enrollment process and career options.
Provide follow-up reports regarding activities and future plans.
Work with Con Ed team to coordinate assigned activities.
Provide multi-site support during registration, special events, and tours.
Assist new students with the enrollment process and refer students to orientations and testing, if applicable.
Plan, coordinate, and organize Career Fair.
Serve as a consultant to internal departments with recruitment training and new student enrollment training via information sessions, committees, and professional development opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with Hertford, Bertie, Northampton, and Gates County Schools Counselors, Career Development, Early College and CCP.
Develop recruitment plan for Con Ed and College and Career Readiness programs.
Facilitate planning, organizing, and implementation of special events and assist the Marketing Committee as needed.
Plan and implement monthly college information sessions.
Aid students progress through programs that lead to valuable credentials, without unnecessary detours.
Assist students in making informed decisions which result in understanding the requirements and processes to succeed.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Executive Vice President.
Ability to coordinate administrative and outreach activities.
Ability to work with social media and other forms of technology.
Proficient communication skills, verbal and written.
