Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginias capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Director of HR Operations will provide administrative leadership and supervision in a variety of HR functions, to include Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Employee Transactions and Leave Administration. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Organizational Development and Human Resources and is expected to demonstrate accountability at this level, upholding confidentiality, and discretion at all times. Position will oversee and direct the Adjunct faculty pay process; benefits administration; faculty multi-year, promotion, and annual contract process; will be the expert on faculty pay and employment actions, conduct training for employees and managers regarding HR topics; manage HR record retention; and flawlessly execute a variety of high-level HR projects of the Commonwealth and the VCCS.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
