Position Summary
Performs independent work related to the maintenance and repair of campus interior/exterior structures and furnishings.

 

Essential Functions

  • Repairs, installs, and maintains flooring, roofs, ceilings, doors, stairs, windows, signs, and other building and campus structures/components.
  • Makes masonry repairs, including brick/stone, concrete, tiles (ceramic, vinyl, other), asphalt, etc.
  • Services and installs bathroom walls/partitions, showers, enclosures, and other interior components.
  • Responds to service calls; troubleshoot problems and service issues.
  • Assists carpenters and other trades as required.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory and the upkeep of the shop.
  • Performs other work typical of craft and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must know how to use and operate power tools and shop equipment typical to this position
  • Is on-call for emergency and event-related duties.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in construction/carpentry trade and/or a training certificate in carpentry and general repairs.

 

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to follow written instructions (work orders) and read furniture and equipment assembly schematics.
  • Must know how to use and operate power tools, gauges, computers, ladders, and other tools and equipment typical to this position.
  • Must know how to use and operate power tools and shop equipment typical to this position.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Minimum Biweekly Salary for Internal Applicants with 3 or more years of service: $3,090.40

Maximum Biweekly Salary for Internal Applicants with 3 or more years of service: $3,090.40

Minimum Biweekly Salary for New Employees: $2,472.00

Maximum Biweekly Salary for New Employees: $2,472.00

Monday to Friday
7:00 am to 3:30 pm
