The Finance and Business (F&B) Department provides business, fiscal, and budget management for the Libraries. This includes closely monitoring the Libraries annual budget and overseeing the librarys accounting activities. In addition to these broad responsibilities, the department handles travel (authorizations and reimbursements), PCard purchasing and reconciling, other procurement activities, contracts, pre- and post-grant awards, and Marketplace orders as well as many other financial functions.
Essential Job Duties
Key responsibilities:
- Manage financial transactions across various areas, including travel and PCard expenses, service unit billing, and interdepartmental transactions.
- Proactively identify and resolve complex financial issues through research and analysis.
- Serve as the main travel administrator, processing travel authorizations and reimbursements.
- Reconcile University Purchase Cards (PCards), process purchase requisitions, and manage orders through NC States Marketplace.
- Assist new vendors with registration in PeopleSoft Financials and navigate NC States Marketplace for purchasing needs.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the Libraries department through proactive financial management.

- Experience and skill with finance and business-oriented software packages, such as spreadsheet applications, accounting packages, or enterprise-level software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Banner, SAP)
