Job Description
Harford Community College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach the following daytime, in-person, 1-credit Health & Physical Education courses during the Fall 2024 semester:
- PE 130: Hiking (8/26/2024 -10/12/2024), Fridays from 12:00 pm – 2:40 pm
- Hikes occur at various locations throughout Harford County
- PE 133: Aqua Yoga (10/21/2024-12/14/2024), Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:20 pm – 3:40 pm
- PE 136: Cardiovascular Fitness (10/21/2024-12/14/2024), Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:35 am – 10:55 am
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Work is generally performed on the College campus unless otherwise specified.
Your application to this position will remain active to December 31 of the current year. If you are not selected by that time, you must re-apply in order to be considered. If you apply on or after November 1 of the current year, your application will remain active to December 31 of the following calendar year.
Required Education
A Masters degree in the subject or a closely-related subject. A Bachelors degree and industry experience may be considered for some areas of study.
Required Experience
Prior teaching experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to provide instruction in person as required by the College.
- Proficiency in required instructional and communication software as designated by the College.
- Excellent communication skills.
