Essential Job Duties

This position will provide operational support for PERM green card process, as well as support for the H-1B process (after receiving training from the IE Manager). Additional duties may include assisting the Manager with the storage and record retention processes.  This position requires a detailed review of all documentation received, and the ability to follow checklists and SOPs and input information into templates. This position will help the team be more efficient in processing PERM cases, which will help the department better support campus by assisting faculty members to obtain permanent residence status, which benefits the employee, their family, and also the sponsoring unit directly.

Minimum Experience/Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Exceptional organizational, data entry, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and navigate electronic systems, including an immigration case management system
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion while working with sensitive and confidential information and communicating with faculty, department heads, and other senior-level administrators

  • Professional work experience in an human resources or immigration setting
