Marist College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor to teach courses in French, Spanish, and/or Italian languages. The Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for teaching 1- 3 language courses at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels in the target language. Multiple openings for this position may be available.
A Master’s degree in the target language or related field, as well as experience teaching the language at the secondary or college level is required.
The Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for teaching 1- 3 language courses at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels in the target language for undergraduate students.
A PhD. in linguistics, literature, or related field in the target language plus experience teaching at the college level is preferred.

The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures (MLC) is housed within the School of Liberal Arts along with departments in English, History, Philosophy, and Political Science. The department offers majors and minors in Spanish, French, and Italian as well as courses in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, German, Russian and Latin at various levels. Students in our Spanish, French, and Italian programs are usually double majors in Teacher Education, Business, Fashion, History, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, and Biomedical Sciences among others. The department works very closely with Marist Abroad to support Marist programs at Florence and Madrid.
