The Information Technology Department is seeking positive, dynamic, student-centered individuals to teach adult learners the desired skills for today’s workplace. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success and the use of classroom experiences to enhance workplace understanding and performance.
The Instructor provides academic advising of students, leadership in curriculum review/development, outcomes assessment, mentorship of Adjunct Instructors, serves on department/college activities and committees, and interfaces with external partners (industry and academic).Required Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or related discipline, plus 2 years of FT related occupational experience
Associate’s degree and current relevant industry certification, plus 2 years of FT related occupational experience.
Higher education/community college teaching experience preferred.Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of walking and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Salary/Hourly Rate $73,036
Expected start date: 08/31/2021
Full-time, 12-month, 232-day position.
Courses are taught in multiple modalities including on-campus, class, online and/or a hybrid, remote format.
The position will involve travel to other campuses; must be available to teach day, evening or weekend courses.
A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
The position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.
