Teach courses and lab activities in utility line technology, including overhead and underground distribution, pole climbing, electrical theory, transformers, and substation and metering technology. Teach coursework in a format that includes computer based learning. Participate collaboratively in curriculum development and participation in department and college activities.Required Qualification
Minimum of 8 years of full time related occupational experience or approved Journey-worker status
Associate’s degree in career field and 4 years full time related occupational experience
Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full time related occupational experience required.
Must have computer competency, including all typical office applications.
A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Salary/Hourly Rate $73,036 minimum
May involve trave to other campuses for day, evening and/or weekend classes.
232-day, 12-month contract.
Per full-time instructor contract (35 hours/week during contract days) It should be noted that the UTIL program has a weekend program.
Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.
