Provide leadership and management for short-term, non-credit, IT, computer applications, and technology training for adult learners and professionals. Leadership role includes collaboration with appropriate Division of Workforce & Economic team members to design and implement training that is responsive to the needs of industry as well as individuals needing skill development in the sector. Management responsibilities include but are not limited to cultivating IT industry partnerships; collaborating with local IT and computer-based employers to identify workforce needs and recommend/develop relevant training programs, incorporating emerging skills needed in the Computer/IT industry; leading program/curriculum development and revisions; retaining subject matter experts to develop content, as appropriate; managing course scheduling; recruiting, hiring, training, and managing highly qualified instructors; advising students, and regularly evaluating program effectiveness. Position sets and manages budgets, operating self-support programs. Position collaborates with Division marketing team to identify and implement marketing activities, including program materials, website updates and outreach to drive economic growth. Position will execute necessary contracts according to College and Division policies. Position will establish and maintain professional relationships relevant to programmatic oversight. Position ensures training adheres to industry standards and where appropriate, leads to credentialing and certification. Position collaborates with other programmatic leaders within the Division and College to ensure the technology training needs of the community are addressed, including the development of new courses and programs. Training offered will be through mixed delivery methods and at various SLCC campus location as well as on-site employer training facilities.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Program Development: Lead research of new content areas for computer training, collaborating with Division personnel as well as all appropriate departments. Work closely with Corporate Solutions Managers in order to serve companies as well as individuals. Strategically develop, evaluate, and revise offerings based on labor market data and local industry needs, using appropriate delivery methods for the intended population. Identify subject matter experts to develop content, as appropriate. Create and manage appropriate contracts, according to College and Division policy. Conduct timely course and program evaluation to ensure training adheres to industry standards and where appropriate, leads to credentialing and certification. Assist in the evaluation and proposal of delivery methods. Oversee marketing and enrollments for new programming in assigned area.
Program Operation: Lead and manage IT/computer application training for adult learners and professionals. Oversee course scheduling and curriculum updates. Recruit, hire, train and manage highly qualified instructors; supervise staff, as assigned; and, implement appropriate marketing efforts, including but not limited to updates to webpages and promotion materials as well as outreach. Advise current and prospective adult learners, including employers, and government agencies considering program options. Assist registration and enrollment processes, as appropriate. Monitor and reconcile program budgets, achieving agreed upon program revenue targets. Execute necessary contracts according to College and Division policies. Establish and maintain professional relationships relevant to program oversight. Respond to student and community inquiries, including businesses. Manage computer labs, as assigned.

Experience teaching adults preferred Experience with social network systems and activities preferred Experience in the IT industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Three to five years direct experience.
