The Board of Trustees of Laredo College invites nominations and applications for the position of President. Laredo College, celebrating its 75th anniversary, is a learner-centered institution transforming students’ lives through educational programs and services to fulfill the dynamic needs of its local, regional, national, and global community. The College serves as a two-campus district that provides education and workforce training to a rapidly growing community of over 300,000 residents in a tri-county area in South Texas that includes Webb, Jim Hogg, and Zapata counties. The College provides educational opportunities to over 10,000 traditional and dual-enrolled students each year through a variety of affordable academic, health sciences, and workforce programs.
The focus on student success and institutional excellence has led to recognitions such as the top spot in the Top 10 Community Colleges in Texas for two consecutive years (bestcolleges.com, 2020, 2021). Laredo has been consistently recognized as one of the fastest growing cities in Texas and the nation and continues to expand its diverse population.
