Job Summary

The University of Michigan Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology (C.S. Mott Children's Hospital) is seeking a pediatric transplant hepatologist to join our team.  You will join a dynamic practice of two pediatric hepatologists, four dedicated transplant nurse coordinators, a liver transplant social worker, a liver transplant psychologist, and a dedicated liver dietitian.  Our pediatric liver program is closely integrated with the University of Michigan Transplant Center and the Section of Transplant Surgery. The job will focus on providing clinical liver disease and liver transplant care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  There will also be opportunities for the development of scholarly activities (research) and for leadership.  Job duties will additionally include attending on the inpatient pediatric GI service, inpatient consultations, endoscopic procedures, supervision and teaching of pediatric GI fellows, residents, and medical students, and administrative duties. Rank of selected candidates is dependent upon qualifications.

Required Qualifications*

The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO degree, be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology, and will hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.
