MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or GED equivalency and five years full-time experience in a skilled trade at the journeyman level, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or lead worker capacity are required. Possess a current valid driver’s license, and the ability to drive a standard transmission. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer four years’ experience with digital controls and HVAC controls software, and five years’ commercial air conditioning and boiler experience.

Duties: The Maintenance Supervisor position is a 12-month full-time career service position. This position is primarily assigned to the Warrington Campus but may be assigned to work at any of the campuses throughout the district. The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise, coordinate, and participate in the work of an assigned group of maintenance personnel engaged in the operation, repair, service and maintenance of college buildings, systems, and equipment in one or more types of skilled trades. The Maintenance Supervisor will plan and schedule work for support staff ensuring proper distribution and adequate staffing, space, and facilities for the subsequent performance of duties; inspect completed work to ensure compliance, and participate in the installation, modification, trouble-shooting, testing, servicing, and repairing of major college equipment and facilities. Additionally, the successful candidate will establish and maintain a schedule of preventive maintenance, review and evaluate existing modes of maintenance operations and recommends methods for increased efficiency and cost reduction. The Maintenance Supervisor may be required to work evenings, weekends, during holidays, and college closures due to natural disasters. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. Salary: $28,000.00 ($14.30/hour) -
