Responsibilities: | The Research Assistant provides technical support for the microscopy core imaging facility in the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (CNMS). Duties include assisting in the operation and maintenance of major instruments, such as confocal microscopes, a transmission electron microscope (TEM), a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and an atomic force microscope (AFM) as well as administrative tasks. This position requires basic microscopy experience that demonstrates an interest and ability to learn a variety of microscopy techniques. This position will ensure that the imaging facilities are able to maintain their high standard of research support. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
