Ryan Purdy named president of Mid-Plain Community College
The Mid-Plain Community College Board of Governors chose to promote from within, elevating the college's Chief Financial Officer to the position of College President, Wednesday evening.
Newly-appointed MPCC President Ryan Purdy has been with the college for 10 years and spent the last nine as the CFO and Area Associate Vice-President of Administrative Services, he was named the college's interim president in January after Dr. Michael Chipps resigned to take a similar position at Northeast Community College in Norfolk.
Purdy brings hands-on operating experience to the position, having been charged with oversight of the college's long rang projects, such as the McCook Community College Events Center and construction of the North Platte Health and Science Center building. He has also overseen the college's human resources and information technology departments, among other duties combined with his budget responsibilities as the CFO.
