Susan Kincade named vice president of instruction at Modesto Junior College

Modesto Junior College (MJC) is pleased to announce Susan Kincade as the new Vice President of Instruction. In her new role as Vice President of Instruction, Kincade oversees all teaching and learning activities at the college.

"Modesto Junior College is a vibrant and exceptional educational institution. The faculty and staff are sincere and determined to provide high quality learning experiences to our MJC Students. As a new resident of Modesto, I have received a genuine welcome by so many in this community – it is a real pleasure to be here," commented Kincade.

Prior to her appointment, Kincade served as the Dean of Community and Technical College at the University of Alaska as well as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Educational Planning, and the Dean of Learning Resources at West Hills Community College District. Kincade also served as an Associate Director, Academic Innovation Center at California State University, Fresno.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication at California State University, Fresno. Her Master of Science degree is in English-Nonfiction Prose Option also at Fresno State, and is currently working toward a Ph.D. in Education at Walden University.

Kincade began in her position Sept. 4. Her salary has not been disclosed, but her predecessor was earning $160,368 per year.
