Corning Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Marian Eberly. Dr. Eberly joined the College on August 20, 2012.
President Douglas, commenting on Dr. Eberlys appointment:
Dr. Eberly brings to Corning Community College a wealth of experience in the classroom and administration, a strong commitment to the mission of the community college, and a devotion to the success of each student. In her most recent assignment as Dean of Liberal Arts, Social Science and Education at Sussex County Community College (SCCC), Dr. Eberlys efforts were instrumental in creating a fully online Liberal Arts degree program; collaborating to establish a College Ready Consortium with Sussex County high schools; and, piloting developmental English projects to increase student success. I am excited Dr. Eberly has joined CCC and we look forward to her bringing her professionalism, energy and enthusiasm to this campus and look forward to working with her to further our vision and mission.
Prior to SCCC, Dr. Eberly was Assistant Dean for Academic Foundations at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC). During her tenure at RVCC, Dr. Eberly established a comprehensive Academic Support Center, transformed a Testing Center, introduced portfolio assessment to English and ESOL, and directed a major Title Ill grant that focused on Developmental Education and student support services.
