The Mott Community College Board of Trustees has appointed Grand Blanc resident and attorney Matthew Norwood to serve as its newest board member.
Norwood was appointed by the Board of Trustees to fill the vacant position created by the resignation of former Trustee Pamela Faris, who can no longer serve on the board after being elected state representative in November.
Norwood was selected from a field of 20 candidates. His term will run from Jan. 28 to Dec. 31, 2014.
Norwood has a Criminal Justice degree and a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University.
