Paula Pitcher named enrollment VP at Middlesex Community College
Middlesex Community College has named Paula R. Pitcher Vice President of Enrollment Management, Research & Planning. She succeeds Lois A. Alves, who recently retired from the college.
"All of us at Middlesex are excited about welcoming Dr. Pitcher to our campus,” said MCC President Carole Cowan. “She brings significant experience in the key areas of strategic planning, institutional research and enrollment management from similar community colleges in New Jersey, and we look forward to her future contributions to Middlesex in these critical areas."
Most recently, Pitcher served as Assistant Dean of Institutional Research, Planning and Assessment at Atlantic Cape Community College, Mays Landing, N.J. She was also Dean of Administrative Services & Planning at Salem Community College in Carneys Point, N.J., and was Director of Institutional Research at Southwestern Michigan College, Dowagiac, Mich.
Pitcher also has private-sector experience, having served as Director of Finance & Administrative Services for Raritan Engineering Co., of Millville, N.J. She has taught organizational behavior at Delaware’s Wilmington University, and computer science at Southwestern Michigan College.
Pitcher received her doctorate in community-college management from University of Maryland University College, an MBA and bachelor’s degree from Bethel College, and an associate degree from Texas State Technical College.
