Jennifer Methvin named president of Crowder College
The president’s position at Crowder College has been offered to Jennifer Methvin, who currently serves as vice chancellor for academics at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope, Crowder officials announced Monday.
“I am honored and humbled to be asked to serve as the next president of Crowder College,” Methvin said in a statement. “After visiting the college last week and interacting with faculty, staff, students and stakeholders, it is apparent to me that Crowder College is genuinely focused on and skilled at serving students. Crowder lives the comprehensive community college mission every day. (My family) and I look forward to becoming a part of the Crowder family and joining the college in its work.”
Monday’s announcement came after the Crowder board of trustees hosted open forums over the past two weeks with Methvin and the other two finalists, Jim Cummins, vice president of finance at Crowder College, and Brent Bates, vice president of education and student services at State Fair Community College.
