Beverly Walker-Griffea named president of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges

Mott CC president Beverly Walker-Griffea to lead AAWCC


Mott Community College President Beverly Walker-Griffea was recently elected to lead a national organization.

Walker-Griffea, who has been Mott's president since Aug. 27, was elected earlier this month as president of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges.

"I am honored to have been chosen to serve as president of this organization whose principles of equity for women in higher education and whose commitment to educational and professional excellence I embrace," Walker-Griffea said in written statement.

She will serve a one-year as president-elect followed by a two-year term as president from 2015 to 2017.
