Leah Barrett named vice president for student affairs at Sheridan College in Wyoming

New Sheridan College student affairs vice president Leah Barrett
Sheridan College announced today the hiring of Dr. Leah Barrett as the new Vice President for Student Affairs.
Barrett joins the Northern Wyoming Community College District from the State University of New York, College at Brockport in Brockport, New York, where she served as the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, a position she has held since 2014.
Prior to that position, Barrett served as the college’s Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs for six years. SUNY-Brockport is a four-year comprehensive public college enrolling approximately 8,100 undergraduate and graduate students.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Barrett both to northern Wyoming and to our College community,” said Dr. Paul Young, NWCCD president. “We have a number of great things happening right now at our College; Leah’s leadership, enthusiasm, and perspective will make her a valuable member of our team.”
Originally from Newcastle, Wyoming, Barrett received her doctorate from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York in 2014, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Wyoming in 1992 and 1995, respectively.
