Janet Rogers has steadily risen through the ranks at Columbus State Community College, but her heart has always been with helping students achieve their dreams.
Yesterday, Columbus State announced that she will become the school's new student-affairs leader on Jan. 1.
"To be quite honest, this is the pinnacle of career success for me," said Rogers, who is the executive dean of Columbus State's new Delaware County campus.
Rogers will continue to oversee that campus, which opened to more than 800 students this fall, until a successor can be named. In her new role as vice president of student affairs, she will oversee all student services including admissions, advising, financial aid, registration, student activities and athletics.
Her new salary hasn't been figured out yet; she currently earns $108,104.
