Don Woodburn named president of Dodge City Community College in Kansas

Dodge City Daily Globe March 30, 2011
It’s official. Don A. Woodburn is the new president of Dodge City Community College.

The college’s Board of Trustees voted unanimously Tuesday to hire Woodburn as president for two years and three months from April 1 of this year through June 30, 2013.

Trustee Morris Reeves said Wednesday it’s good to have the position filled.

“I think we’ve got this one done,” he added.

Housing and the possibility that North Arkansas College might offer Woodburn a job as president held the process back until now.

“Those issues have been resolved,” Reeves said. “He is committed under contract.”

DCCC’s former president, Richard Burke, chaired his last Board of Trustees meeting June 30, 2010. Then the college hired interim President Richard Gilliland, who started on July 6, 2010.
