Miami Dade College president Eduardo Padrón awarded Carnegie Corporation Academic Leadership Award

Miami Dade College President Eduardo J. Padrón has been awarded the 2011 Carnegie Corporation Centennial Academic Leadership Award.

The announcement was made Thursday. The award carries $500,000 in unrestricted funds that Padrón can use for academic initiatives.

The Carnegie award honors university leaders who have created a climate that encourages excellence and equity on campus.
