|The newly designed rooms where St. Cloud Technical & Community College students will get training to become health professionals look as much like an operating room or dentist’s office as possible in a class.
The college’s Health Sciences building opens today for almost 1,000 students enrolled in or preparing to major in the six health sciences majors the Technical & Community College offers.
The building is the former HealthPartners clinic the state bought, remodeled and designed to fit the needs of people seeking jobs in a dental practice, in nursing, paramedicine, sonography, hospitals and clinics.
The 53,000-square-foot building more than doubles the space previously available for those programs in the college’s main building across the parking lot.
