Alabama community college system chancellor Freida Hill attempts to quell rumors, says she has no plans to resign

Alabama Postsecondary Chancellor Freida Hill says she has no plans to resign her position as head of the state's system of two-year colleges.

She said the rumors started after the State Board of Education on Thursday voted to hold a special meeting on March 7 to discuss Hill's performance as chancellor including "possible termination" of her contract.

Hill said in a statement Friday that rumors of her resignation or plans to quit her position as chancellor are false.
