North Central State College president Donald Plotts plans March retirement

After four years of service, Donald Plotts announced today he will retire as president of the North Central State College in March.

Plotts' letter of resignation will be accepted by the school’s board at its regular meeting Wednesday.

“It has been my honor and privilege to serve North Central State College for the last seven years and as president of North Central State College since 2008," Plotts said. "They have been the most rewarding of my career."

Plotts was appointed president in 2008 after serving as interim president following his retirement in 2006 as superintendent of Pioneer Career & Technology Center.

Under Plotts’ seven-year tenure, NCSC created the off-campus Urban Center in downtown, renovated several campus facilities, developed avenues for advanced degrees and partnered with The Ohio State University at Mansfield to make it easier for students to move from one college to the other and complete a four-year degree.
