Board at Mott Community College in Michigan seeks replacement for trustee Pamela Faris, who resigned to serve in public office

Pamela Faris resigned from Mott Community College board

The Mott Community College Board of Trustees is seeking candidates to replace Pamela Faris on the board.

Faris announced her resignation this week. She has been elected 48th District state representative and by law can no longer serve on the MCC board.

Faris was appointed by the board to her seat in 2010 and elected to a full term in 2011. Her resignation takes effect Dec. 27 and must be filled within 30 days.

The board is accepting applications for an appointment that will begin Jan. 28 and last until Dec. 31 2014. Each applicants must be a qualified voter residing within the MCC district, which consists of the 21 public school districts in Genesee County.
