Summary Statement
An incumbent develops and maintains a consistent creative vision for the Colleges brand and projects. Duties include guiding all creative strategies for the College, establishing budgets and timeframes, and managing client relationships. The incumbent is responsible for creating a cohesive image that embodies the Colleges brand identity, which can range from logos to website layouts and traditional marketing materials.
Nature and Scope
A class incumbent reports to the vice president for external relations. An incumbent is responsible for meeting with clients, brainstorming with a creative team, deciding on the layout for publications or product designs, communicating with clients during the creative process, making innovative presentations, ensuring that collegewide projects are completed within time, scope, and budget, and collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality projects. The incumbent leads all collegewide marketing efforts, including projects for the president of the College.
Principal Accountabilities
An incumbent may perform any combination of the below listed accountabilities:
1. Conceives and implements concepts, guidelines, and strategies in various collegewide creative projects and oversees them to completion.

2. Produces new ideas for College branding, promotional campaigns, and marketing communications through collaboration with internal and external stakeholder.
3. Creates professional visual presentations for the president and vice presidents for audiences such as members of the state legislature, donors, employers, employees, students, and members of the community.
4. Creates and implements tailored marketing plans for major and minor College initiatives.
5. Makes decisions on the layout of publications or product designs, creates graphic designs for various collegewide projects, and chooses visuals such as photographs and artwork.
6. Monitors the effectiveness of and results from creative marketing initiatives, strategies and projects and proposes relevant changes for the future.
7. Ensures that projects are completed within time, scope, and budget and in accordance with the Colleges branding standards.
8. Evaluates trends, assesses new data, and keeps up to date with the latest creative marketing techniques and technologies.
9. Serves as the liaison with advertising agencies to collaborate, create, approve, and monitor data regarding collegewide ad campaigns.

10. Directs and motivates members of the collegewide strategic communication and marketing team to help them use their talents effectively.
11. Approves and edits presentations and content while providing feedback to the strategic communication and marketing team.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
Six (6) years of experience to include management and supervision and graphic design; or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
