Job Description:

The Senior Special Programs Coordinator reports to the Director of Workforce and Economic Development and is part of a leadership team that is responsible for the implementation of the Adult Education (DESE) Grant. The Coordinator will instruct and model BHCC's student centered learning philosophy in core Adult Education classes as one of three lead adult education instructors and will work with this team to oversees institutional efforts to meet grant outcomes of the college's student success and completion agenda.

The Coordinator will also work with advisors and the Associate director to coordinate curriculum, technology and tutoring for students while working to support the development and implementation of a new curriculum that addresses the Massachusetts English Language Proficiency Standards for Adult Education (ME LPS).

Provide leadership and coordination for the Adult Education Grant.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree English, Education, or MFA, possession of a teaching licensure a plus.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles and materials to meet individual needs of students.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a student-centered advising environment.
  • Proficiency in student information systems and technology as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working at a community college.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to relate and understand the needs of a diverse student population.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $58,320 - $64,000. Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full State Benefits.

Grade 5: Unit - Professional position.
