PT - Adjunct Instructor, Phlebotomy Technician

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The adjunct instructor will teach the approved Phlebotomy Technician course in a face-to-face classroom and lab setting. The instructor will be responsible for classroom and lab setup. Instructor should evaluate student progress, notify program coordinator of any issues or concerns, monitor supply levels, notify program coordinator of any needs, and adhere to all policies and procedures as dictated by Stanly Community College. The adjunct instructor will also coordinate student clinical assignments and precept students during clinical study.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required:

  • Associate Degree in Medical Assisting, Nursing or related field.
  • Two years of experience performing blood collection/phlebotomy procedures.
  • National certification in Phlebotomy or related medical practice.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in health-related field.
  • Two years of teaching experience with a secondary or postsecondary educational institution.
