JOB DUTIES

  • Act as the primary recruiter for all high school programs, encompassing first-year freshmen, dual enrollment, grant-based programs, and other distinct populations related to high school recruitment.
  • This role aims to broaden MCCC's high school dual enrollment programs and engage with the traditional feeder high school community.
  • This position will have a pivotal role in managing the Admission CRM and the student information system.
  • Assists with all admissions, advisement, and registration initiatives in enrollment management.
  • Supports the development and execution of recruitment initiatives, which include, but are not limited to, engaging traditional high school students, international students, adult learners, and community outreach efforts.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Admissions, oversees the planning and implementation of all high school recruitment endeavors, emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the explicit aim of enhancing enrollment across various programs.
  • Maintains a general understanding of each department as it relates to the College's academic majors and help prospective and accepted students navigate important deadlines such as financial aid, academic advisement, and registration.
  • Responsible for advancing recruitment and admissions strategies designed to meet the recruitment, outreach, and enrollment goals of the College.
  • Engages in student recruitment through promotional endeavors across various mediums including internet/social media, personal interactions, high school visits, college fairs, panel discussions, presentations, and newsletters
  • Works with the college's communications and marketing team to develop information materials used for program recruitment and marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures all processes related to enrollment by high school students are complete, including applications, completion of documents, confirmations of enrollment, and registration.
  • Converts dual enrollment and pre-college credit students into full and part-time students, through enrollment events, communication, and marketing.
  • Aids in coordinating campus visit initiatives
  • Coordinates the planning and execution of the Dual Enrollment program and high school enrollment programs at MCCC including recruiting students and partners to engage in classes and programs;
  • Arranges in-person or virtual classroom presentations to facilitate high school student registration and provides program explanations to all coordinating high school staff and administrators.
  • Manages, trains and distributes tasks across work study students and assigned staff.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for designated prospective high school students.
  • Communicates dual enrollment and early college opportunities to students, parents, and high schools staff.
  • Coordinates and completes registration sessions for each H.S. student for each term.
  • Enhances the quality and diversity of the student body to increase enrollment of non degree-seeking dual-enrolled students through recruitment efforts.
  • Supports recruiting activities area-wide including secondary markets.
  • Provides clear academic pathways for all high school students through phone, email, mailings, and recruitment events.
  • Serves as the liaison between designated high schools and the college.
  • Assists in coordinating events such as: Open Houses, Information Sessions, Career Fairs, Admitted Students' Day, and other college enrollment events.
  • Responds to inquiries from prospective applicants and builds relationships with leads from point of inquiry to registration utilizing technology to effectively manage the process.
  • Coordinates/Assists with onboarding of Early College students.
  • Identifies issues and refining processes for the department.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet educational requirements.
  • Conduct travel, including evenings and weekends.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Positions in this class typically require: ability to use a key board, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

 

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in a relevant field
  • 3 years related work experience in Higher Ed.
  • Experience using student enterprise software
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of social media and networking platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, database management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience of working with a variety of diverse people (faculty, students, and staff).

 

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree from accredited institution in a relevant field.
  • Community College experience.
  • Experience using Ellucian Colleague ERP system.
  • Experience using Ellucian Recruit.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Experience working with both traditional and non-traditional student populations.
  • Demonstrated follow-through in implementing policy and procedural changes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Ability to analyze administrative and operational scenarios and reach practical business solutions to optimize available resources.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with High School Staffa and Administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to build an efficient and effective office culture that serves students well and shapes, unifies, and empowers a team to provide highest levels of customer service.
  • Extensive knowledge of enrollment trends in higher education with the ability to develop and implement strategies conducive to meeting enrollment and institutional goals.
  • Advocates for staff, and for their continued training and professional development, with the ability to influence others through a positive attitude.
  • Understands leveraging of technology in student recruitment and enrollment.
