This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (approximately 32 hours per week) Tribal Extension Education Program Assistant 1 position for the Division of Extension and Engagements Family and Community Health Program at Oregon State University (OSU)
This Education Program Assistant 1 (EPA1) position serves the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and is based at the OSU Division of Extension and Engagements Extension Warm Springs office in Warm Springs, Oregon. This position is a member of the regional and statewide team of the OSU Extension 4-H Youth Development (4-H) and Family & Community Health (FCH) programs. OSU Extensions employees offer effective programs to serve Oregonians through education and community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
What We Require
High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of relevant experience (paid or volunteer), supporting community programs that serve children, youth, or adults
OR Associate Degree and one year of work experience (paid or volunteer) which must be working in youth development programs, adult education, teaching, program delivery or related functions
AND
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated skill to work with diverse audiences.
Demonstrated skill to use computers for word processing, data management, and communications.
What You Will Need
- Must be an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs to work and teach with tribal foods as per agreement with Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.
- A commitment to collaborative and respectful learning and working environments that are safe, inclusive, and welcoming.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Minimum of two (2) years experience/education (paid or volunteer) relevant to tribal nutrition education or related health community programs that serve tribal children, youth, and adults.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work as a collaborative member of a team.
- Ability to work in an “open” office setting.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
- Flexibility to perform work in a variety of settings.
- Flexibility to work non-standard schedule: evenings and weekends may be required based on programming needs, coordinating with supervisor to adapt work schedule to address community programming needs.
- Travel/driving is required for this position, with ability to transport up to 30 lbs. of educational materials.
